Congratulations on a Successful Mare Inspection! Ashley and Drum High Score Intro Division 2010 USDF Region 1 Youth Team Competition Ashley and Drum High Score Intro Division 2010 USDF Region 1 Youth Team Competition Congratulations to Alexis Taves who earned her final score needed for her USDF Silver Medal at PSG at Dressage at Lexington!!! Kya and Hazel also received a 66% in their debut at 4/2 and another 70% for their Musical Freestyle.
First Level Freestyle Champions! SVDA member Robin Jones took her Canadian Warmblood Mare “Aerothena” (Teena) to the ISR/Oldenburg NA inspection Aug 26-27th at Hilltop Farm in Maryland. Trainer Tristin Hardy Butler accompanied them to ride in the performance under saddle and assist in the free jumping portion of the testing.
Teena easily made the Main Mare Book earning a 69.9 in her inspection with a 7.5 for breed, mare type. She also did well in the Performance Testing scoring a 69.5 in the performance evaluation with a 7.5 in jumping and 7.3 in ridability – which was awesome considering another mare in her under saddle group bucked her rider off right in front of Teena and Tristin, and then went into a second bucking fit as they passed them at the canter a few minutes later. It was a little extra excitement but Tristin and Teena kept their cool and stayed safe.
Tristin has been showing Teena in the SVDA shows this summer to prepare her for the riding portion Madisyn DeCant SVDA 2008 Grand Champion at Intro level. Madisyn is also an active Pony Clubber.
Kenzie Endreson winner of the Pewter Award with the highest schooling show score, also a Grand Champion for Training Level this year.
SVDA Group Lessons held with Tristin Hardy at Bridlewood Estates in Suffolk, VA, Dec 7, 2008. The sun was out to make this chilly day beautiful! Lots of fun with Anita Rees, Melissa Chamberlain, Kya Endreson, and Sarah Miller. The smaller groups made for more personalized attention – Anita and Melissa used the music to rate their horses and work on more collection and lengthenings. Kya and Sarah worked on half pass and flying changes, ooops, forgot about the music in the excitement of the advanced movements.
