2007 SVDA Schooling Show Championships Jamee Albright, Alexis Albright, Kya Endreson, Emma Burdett – Elfendrillettes beach quadrille demonstration, Elfenridge Dressage SVDA sanctioned show at Happy Valley, Sept 23rd – coached by Tristin Hardy and Jennifer Hippensteel
Jennifer is Tristin's Assistant Trainer and wowed everyone with her First Level debut, scoring 64% and 65%! Way to go Jen!!! (Photo by Pam Burdett) Jennifer and Obe are currently competing at First Level! Currently competing at First Level! Currently competing at Second Level! Merlin, owned by Anita Reese, is a "Suffolk Sporthorse". Merlin's age and actual bloodlines are a bit fuzzy, we think he is a 3 or 4 yr old Anglo/Arabian with maybe some other mixed in there? Anita purchased Merlin in June 2006 and he started his training with Tristin in late July 2006. Anita's background is in endurance, yet hopes to show some dressage with Merlin. This photo shows his talent and promise! Merlin is very smart, easy going, and a fluid mover. A perfect match.
Congratulations to Alexis Taves on her new German Oldenburghorse "Empire".Empire comes to us from Germany via Florida. As many of you know, Alexis has shown her dedication and desire over the past few years in the sport of dressage and has proven her talent by taking her 18 year old Oldenburg mare "Amaryllis", affectionately known as "Amelia"Intro level dressage up to Second level over the past year. While Amelia is a lovely horse, Alexis is ready to go for the Advanced Juniors and National Young Riders Competitions and she and Tristin felt it time to find a new mount for the rigorous task.
Affectionately known as "Fliegen Flugenheimer" Fliegen has come a long way! Currently competing with owner Wendy Murray at Training 3 & 4, Fliegen will be moving up to First Level in the Fall!! Chance is a 1999 Bay Holsteiner Gelding. Chance came to Happy Valley to further his dressage career in full training with Tristin at the end of April 2005. Owner Genevieve qualified for a college scholarship to an internship at the United Nations in Switzerland and will then spend the second half of her Junior year in Uganda. While Genevieve is traveling the world, mom Danielle will get her turn to ride Chance as well as grooming for Tristin at shows - lucky Tristin, Danielle is known for her elaborate food spreads and attention to details. Dad Brian is also very supportive and helpful at the shows and designated videotographer when available. Chance and Tristin are consistently in the mid-high 60's at schooling and approved shows - photos with Tristin coming soon.
Tristin's Comments:
"Chance is the barn clown but when he gets to the shows, he is all business. He is eager to work and enjoys a variety of workouts. We jump and do lots of schooling out in the fields."
