SVDA Jr/Young Rider 2011 Championship Team

Another GREAT year for the Junior/Young Riders
of SVDA! Whew it was a hot one, heat index over
120 degrees, but we were prepared with double
fans on stalls, ice water sponge baths, and
alcohol spray bottles. We had a contest to see
who could drink the most liquid (water,
Gatorade) so everyone was keeping track and
making sure they drank enough.
Our Teams were fabulous! We stuck with the
Tropical Theme from the banquet for our stall
decorating contest and costumes. People loved
it, but alas, we didn’t win again… Ellen
Bouchard did a wonderful job drawing cute stall
signs for everyone, and everyone pitched in with
the decorations and costumes.

Thank you Grace Williams for all
your help as assistant coach this year!
And a big Thank You again to all who have helped
and supported with our various fundraisers! We
were able to pay for entries, stabling, team
shirts and pads. That allows some riders to
participate that wouldn’t be able to otherwise.
It’s always a pleasure to work
with such a great group of young ladies and such
supportive parents.
Go Team SVDA!!!
